Travel Zenify’s purpose is to provide travel itineraries based on real updated travel prices. We find plane tickets and accommodation at great price, we fetch other travel costs such as food or local transportation and we merge everything into a database which we use to create travel itineraries.

Understand the travel industry and user needs

I conducted research and analysis, which revealed that travelers seek fun experiences like exploring new places, meeting people, trying local foods, and enjoying relaxation or adventure. However, they often face challenges such as high costs, planning complexity, lack of local knowledge, language barriers, and safety concerns. These insights helped shape the website’s features, including cost-effective solutions, an itinerary builder, local insights, language tools, and safety information, to address travelers’ needs and enhance their overall experience.

Analyze competitors

In analyzing competitors in the online travel industry, I identified several key players, including online travel agencies (OTAs) like Expedia and Booking.com, travel planning apps and websites such as TripIt and Roadtrippers, budget travel sites like Skyscanner and Kayak, and eco-friendly travel initiatives. Each category has its strengths and weaknesses, with OTAs offering a wide range of options but sometimes lacking personalization, travel planning apps excelling at itinerary creation but having limited booking capabilities, budget sites focusing on price but not always on user experience, and eco-friendly initiatives promoting sustainability but with higher costs and fewer options. The analysis revealed opportunities for improvement in areas such as personalization, user experience, pricing transparency, local insights, and mobile optimization.

I created an Excel data base using all the data that was gathered.
